World renowned Burlesque dancer, Dita Von Teese and Cointreau, the famous orange liquor will host the New York debut of their first collaborative effort and Dita’s new burlesque performance, the “BeCointreauversial Show” tonight at The Angel Orensanz Church at 172 Norfolk Street. The creative partnership announced in September, will last for two years and create a rich variety of ideas thanks to their shared inspiration. Also making its US debut is the “Cointreau Teese” Dita’s delectable Cointreau cocktail.

The show was conceived by Dita Von Teese as an evocation of the Cointreau world. Cointreau and its unique “French touch” has thrived for more than 160 years without change, from the shape of its legendary bottle to its delicate and instantly recognizable orange flavor. It was only natural to join the iconic image of Cointreau to the world of Dita Von Teese and her carefully crafted character, a blend of retro and modernity mixed in with the ultimate feminine freedom of thought. The burlesque performer - who is no stranger to stripping on stage - shows off her naked body and tiny feet in the new shots, taken by photographer Ed Fox.

She sent the swan back in a box, Knaff refuses to fix or return it. Now poor Dita says she can’t perform without it and it’s cost her more than $200,000.

Dita is suing for unspecified damages.

Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE has reportedly settled a lawsuit against a British company she claimed failed to pay her performance fees for two shows in London.
In a lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the star accused the bosses of Erotica Limited of owing her $25,000 (£12,500) for two performances at the Erotica trade show in November (07).
Von Teese, real name Heather Sweet, alleged Erotica only paid her half.
But U.S. website TMZ.com is now reporting that company bosses have paid the owed fees and Von Teese subsequently filed papers asking for the suit to be dismissed.

As far as all-time role models, I have been a fan of Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich, and Marilyn Monroe since I was a little girl.
